BBC Newsreader Kate Silverton has given birth to her first child, a little girl called Clemency Florence Rose by herself and husband Mike Heron.
The baby was expected at the end of October, but she finally showed up on 5 November at Queen Charlotte’s hospital in Hammersmith, central London.
The 41 year old newsreader had referred to her pregnancy as a wonder, as she’d dreaded that she could be not able to have a baby. She had an operation to get rid of a cyst at the age of 29 which led to her sacrificing an ovary, but the couple announced in May that Kate had fallen pregnant by natural means after four failed cycles of IVA.
Kate and Mike have described their little girl as “divine” and in a statement from her agent Kate said that she had “big lips and big feet like her mummy”.
The couple were pictured out and about just one day before Clemency arrived, taking a little time out from all the pressures of arranging everything such as nursery bedding sets and anything else required to get the house ready for the new baby.
When you’re expecting a new arrival there are many things you need to work through, from decorating the room to investing in baby nursery bedding to purchasing all the clothes and items your new baby could need.
